Northern Parwan liberated in decisive resistance victory

Updated: Sep 24

Late yesterday evening, Taliban fighters and their foreign allies launched a massive assault on Panjshir. In intense night combat, they were repelled with severe Taliban casualties, estimated at 450 fighters killed and 230 captured. The National Resistance Front counterattacked in the wake of the failed Taliban offensive, storming through northern Parwan Province and recapturing substantial territory. This brings resistance forces to the outskirts of Charikar, capital of Parwan and a staging ground for Taliban attacks on Panjshir. (A previous version of this article incorrectly stated that Charikar itself had been liberated; we apologise for the error.)

With the Taliban bringing in foreign fighters aligned with Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups, the National Resistance Front is now waging war against an international coalition of extremist groups. Following the departure of the United States and other Western allies, the NRF is standing strongbut aloneagainst the transnational forces of terror, including the very group that attacked the United States on 9/11. The resistance has seen many successes on the battlefield but needs the world's support. Please, consider donating today:
